My Solo Travelhood Story
You don’t have to wait for permission to live the life you’ve imagined.
I grew up a small-town country gal—cornfields, cow manure, the whole deal. As a kid, I dreamt of faraway places but felt stuck by fear, lack of role models, and the “safe” expectations that surrounded me. Most of my 20s were defined by routines and relationships that kept me close to home.
That all changed in 2017.
After my first real international trip (passport stamp and all), I realized how much I’d been holding myself back. Why couldn’t I do what the guys on Parts Unknown or Survivorman did—explore boldly, roam freely, and thrive solo?
So, I started small. Road trips, city friends, YouTube survival skills (shoutout Cody Lundin), and a lot of self-coaching. And with every step outside my comfort zone, my confidence grew. Then came 2020. Lockdowns pushed me further into the wild—literally. I took to the backroads with my bow, my playlist, and my anxiety in the passenger seat. Solo travel became my freedom. It’s how I laughed, healed, got lost, leveled up, and finally met the version of me I always knew existed.
Now, I travel often, work remotely, and share the real stuff on Instagram. Somewhere along the way, other women started messaging me:
"How do you do this?"
"Aren’t you scared?"
"Can I do it, too?"
That’s when Jackie of All Travels was born. What started as an MBA capstone evolved into a mission-driven brand to help women experience solo travel safely, confidently, and unapologetically.
I’m not here to talk you into a big group tour. I’m here to walk alongside you as you step into your own freedom, adventure, and badassery—on your terms.
